Frequently Asked Questions
-
HOPE was created with one simple mission: helping people feel more confident and connected through technology.
Technology shouldn't be frustrating or intimidating. Everyone deserves patient, personalized support from someone who genuinely enjoys helping.
-
I help with everyday technology questions and problems, including smartphones, tablets, computers, email, printers, Wi-Fi, smart TVs, streaming services, online accounts, passwords, video calls, apps, and more. Whether it's something that's been bothering you for months or a brand-new device, I'm here to help. If you're not sure whether I can help, just ask!
-
YouTube is great—until it isn't.
Videos can't answer your specific questions, see what's happening on your screen, or adjust when something doesn't go as planned.
With HOPE, you get patient, one-on-one help from a real person. I'll explain things at your pace, answer every question, and make sure you actually understand what we're doing instead of just following along.
-
That's completely okay. Many of the people I help tell me they were nervous before their first session. My goal isn't just to fix technology—it's to help you feel more confident using it. We'll go at your pace, and I'll never make you feel rushed or judged.
-
Before your appointment, you will receive a Zoom link along with simple instructions on how to join.
Once we're connected, you can share your screen (if you're comfortable), which lets me see exactly what you're seeing so we can solve the problem together.
If you've never used Zoom before, don't worry—that can be our first lesson! I'll walk you through it step by step.
-
Every session is scheduled for 15, 30, or 60 minutes, but my goal is to make sure you leave feeling confident—not rushed.
If we finish early, you'll receive a 10% credit toward your next session. I never want to fill time just for the sake of it—if we've solved your questions, that's a success!
If we need just a few extra minutes to finish something up, I'm usually happy to do so when my schedule allows. If it looks like we'll need significantly more time, I'll let you know during the session, and you can decide whether you'd like to book additional time. There will never be any surprise charges.
-
Not at all! HOPE is designed for people of all experience levels—even if you've never used a computer or smartphone before. There's no such thing as a silly question here.
-
I can help with iPhones, Android phones, iPads, tablets, Windows computers, Macs, printers, smart TVs, streaming devices, email, internet issues, and many other everyday technology questions.
-
If the issue is outside what can be solved remotely, I'll explain why, help you understand your options, and recommend the next best step whenever possible.
-
Absolutely! Whether it's a new phone, tablet, computer, printer, or another device, I can help you get it set up, personalized, and ready to use.
-
Of course! Family members are always welcome to join the session if that makes you more comfortable or if they'd like to learn alongside you.
-
Your privacy is important to me. I'll never ask for sensitive personal information unless it's necessary to solve your issue, and I'll always explain why before we do anything.
-
You're always welcome to schedule another appointment whenever you need assistance. Technology changes, and new questions come up all the time—that's what HOPE is here for.
-
At this time, HOPE offers virtual appointments through Zoom so I can help people from anywhere.
